::St Patrick's Day Parade at Underground Atlanta
(ok so this technically isn't Midtown, but how could I resist a parade with a bunch men in kilts)
If you're one of the many who line the streets of downtown Atlanta to see the St. Patrick's Day Parade, you'll want to look for floats, military and police units, bands, Irish dancers, clowns, drill teams, antique cars, horses, politicians and dignitaries from Ireland. A highlght of the parade will be the bagpipe and drum corps. After the parade, which ends at Underground Atlanta, head to the St. Patrick's Day festival at Underground Atlanta.

::Park Tavern's Get Lucky Festival::
There's no better place to get green than this tavern beside Piedmont Park. The party, which is billed as "the biggest green party on our little green planet" features a sea of green beer, as well as live music. As the day wears on, expect more and more loaded leprechauns.

::The Junior League of Atlanta’s ShamRock N Roll Road Race

Call on the luck of the Irish during this St. Patrick's Day race, which is a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. Highlights of the race include entertainment at the start and finish, a pre-race warm up powered by Operation Boot Camp and bands including Consoultant and Stratogeezer along the course.
Awards will be given in a variety of categories including overall winners, age groups, the first kilt-wearing finisher and the Team Spirit Award. Door prize drawings will be held. A post-race party will include Irish music and dancers and clowns.
The 5K race kicks off at 8 a.m., followed by the 10K at 8:30 a.m. and both end with a downhill finish. Dogs and strollers are welcome, and all entrants will receive a moisture-wicking, technical running shirt. The ShamRock ‘N Roll road race is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.

Leslie Fram hosts this pre-St. Patrick's Day concert starring Plain Jane Automobile and A Million Years. The bands will play their own original music as well as cover songs by Irish bands like U2. There will also be a St. Patrick's Day photo booth.
