Summer Stroll on The Midtown Mile is This Weekend

SUMMER STROLL ON THE MILE
The Summer Stroll On The Mile is This Weekend and is one of my favorite events in Midtown! This event is so kid friendly and great for families to spend the day together exploring the Midtown Mile! There is something for everyone on this "Summer Stroll"

Fun for Kids
Walk from Woodruff Arts Center to the Fox Theatre and discover fun activities along the way!
 
At Colony Square:
  • Bring the family to the Kids' Village with a bounce house, face painting, a magician and a juggler (Saturday & Sunday, 12 - 4 pm)
At the Arts District Plaza (15th + Peachtree):
  • Serenbe Playhouse performances and "Ugly Duckling" face painting (Sunday, 12 - 2 pm)
  • Ice cream samples & demos by Spice Market (Sunday, 12 - 4 pm)
At 12th & Midtown:
  • Everyone loves King of Pops! Pick up a hand crafted popsicle in front of CB2
  • Face painting!
At 999 Peachtree:
  • Balloon sculpture on the plaza (Saturday,  12 - 5 pm, and Sunday, 12 - 3 pm)
  • The Imperial Opa Circus with aerial acts, silk rope performers, trapeze artists and a stilt walker (Saturday and Sunday)
 At the Fox Theatre:
  • Wicked tickets go on sale! Join Broadway Across America for an "on sale event” (Saturday, 10 am -12 pm). Tickets are only available at the box office from 10 am-12 pm, and then on Ticketmaster at 12 pm.
  • Bring the family to the Rango movie showing (Saturday, 2 pm)
Center for Puppetry Arts:
  • Mixed-up fairytale fun with Jack & the Beanstalk (Saturday, 11 am, 1 pm, & 3 pm, and Sunday, 1 pm & 3 pm 

Food Trucks
Atlanta Street Food Coalition trucks will be out and about in Midtown all weekend. Find them at these locations:

Pop Up Shops and Promotions
At 999 Peachtree:
  • Shop at the "Mini" Midtown Market in the plaza on Saturday, 9 am - Noon

  • Shop for Dad at the Bar Denim Blues Trunk Show (Saturday and Sunday)

  • Stroll stylishly with new shades from Eyedeology -- new shipment of Alexander McQueen & RayBans
At NV-U Boutique:
  • Meet the local designer from Destini Collection and shop the trunk show (Saturday)

All Saints Episcopal Church:
  • Take the docent led tour of the historic sanctuary with emphasis on the many Tiffany stained glass windows (Sunday, 2 pm)
  • The Cathedral Choir of the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama, will present a Pentecost concert (Sunday, 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 student/senior, and will be available at the door.)
Fox Theatre:
  • To Kill a Mockingbird movie showing (Saturday, 7:30 pm, wine tasting beginning at 5:30 pm)
