ATLANTA RESTAURANTS REMOVE CORKAGE FEES
FOR “OPEN THAT BOTTLE NIGHT”
Midtown and Downtown Restaurants Make it Easy to Savor Special Wine with Fine Food

On Saturday, February 27, people across America will be celebrating Open That Bottle Night by gathering with family and friends to uncork that extraordinary bottle of wine that has been saved for special occasions. Since there is no better way to enjoy a good bottle of wine with good food, several local restaurants in Atlanta are offering guests the opportunity to sip, savor and share their special wines over a quality meal by waiving their corkage fees on this evening only.
Nationally acclaimed restaurant Pacci Ristorante is waiving their $35 corkage fee for any wines they do not carry on Open That Bottle Night and is also giving guests the chance to recycle their wine corks and receive wine discounts as a result with their “Cork to Fork” promotion. In partnership with ReCORK America, Pacci is asking patrons to bring in real corks from home and to buy a bottle of wine with their dinner to obtain more corks for reuse. The restaurant will deduct 2 percent off the total bill for every cork brought in up to a maximum of 20% off. This offer is limited to natural cork wine closures only, and does not include plastic or metal closures. Wine cork closures are 100 percent natural, biodegradable and renewable, so this is a great way for Atlantans to embrace more sustainable living practices. Pacci Ristorante is located at 866 West Peachtree Street NW, adjacent to Hotel Palomar in Midtown. For more information about Pacci, call 678-412-2402 or visit http://www.pacciatlanta.com/.

For a more casual experience on Open That Bottle Night, the Midtown location of Marlow’s Tavern, a well-known neighborhood restaurant that takes American tavern fare to the next level, is an excellent place to celebrate. The restaurant never charges corkage fees and is located in Midtown at 950 West Peachtree Street, 404-815-0323. For more information about Marlow’s Tavern, visit http://www.marlowstavern.com/.

Spice Market, located at the W Hotel in Midtown, is waiving their $15 corkage fee on Open That Bottle Night so guests can enjoy Southeast Asian inspired cuisine with their special wine selections. Spice Market is located in the W Hotel Midtown at 188 14th Street, NE. Restaurant guests will receive validated valet parking at a reduced rate of $6 per car daily. Complimentary self parking is also offered in the Colony Square Parking Deck located directly west of the hotel entrance on the corner of 14th St and Juniper Street after 6 p.m. daily. For more information, call 404-724-2550 or visit http://www.spicemarketatlanta.com/.

For exceptional dining in the heart of Atlanta, Ray’s in the City offers diners the freshest seafood, finest cuts of meat, unparalleled service and no corkage fees for guests. The restaurant is located in Downtown Atlanta at 240 Peachtree Street, NW; 404-524-9224. For more information on Ray’s Restaurants, visit http://www.raysrestaurants.com/.

Open That Bottle Night was created by Dorothy J. Gaiter and John Brecher in the year 2000, and it has been celebrated every year since then. For more information and ideas for ways to celebrate, visit http://www.openthatbottlenight.com/.
